How to Maintain a Hardwood Floor

Natural beauty doesn't require a lot of upkeep and maintaining hardwood floors shouldn't be a drag.

For these reasons, Olde Wood Limited® hardwood floors require just a few simple measures to keep your wide plank wood floor looking its best! Regardless of the hardwood floor installation methods, hardwood floors should be regularly dust mopped to keep dirt and other abrasives away and damp-mopped to maintain the warm glow that will make your floor stand out. Our experts can help you choose the right hardwood species to fit your specific living area, traffic level and desired wear-resistance.

As there are numerous finish methods and coating types for hardwood floors, we recommend working with your installer to determine the best wood plank flooring maintenance and cleaning method for the type of finish they applied. For wet-cleaning floors that were finished on-site, simply follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the label.

Our commercial UV-cured pre-finish flooring planks (20-year residential / 5-year commercial limited warranty) can be easily cleaned using our full line of cleaning products. Please speak with a Design Specialist for more information.

Our solid "lifetime" hardwood flooring boards are milled to the finest standards and can be re-sanded several times, providing you with up to 100 years of lasting beauty. Our precision-engineered flooring planks feature a premium 4mm wear layer and is made to withstand up to almost as many sandings or refinishings over its long lifetime.
