Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Engineered hardwood flooring adds nine layers of stability and versatility to our naturally beautiful flooring.

With its ability to add class, warmth and atmosphere to a room, the aesthetic benefits of engineered hardwood flooring cannot be argued. However, some climates or living spaces pose limitations that prevent homeowners from installing solid hardwood flooring. For areas residing in extremely dry or moist geographical regions, our engineered flooring is the perfect solution.

Resistant to the effects of dry or moist geographical regions, our engineered hardwood flooring combines the strength, beauty and natural patina of our wide plank offerings with the stability and versatility of structured flooring. It's ability to be installed directly over concrete (either on or below grade,) makes engineered hardwood flooring the perfect solution for basement living or office space as well as the summer home or cottage that may not be climate-controlled year round. Constructed from a nine-ply, FSC-certified Baltic birch plywood, our engineered flooring is:

  • Glued and layered under high pressure and heat.
  • Impervious to excessively dry as well as humid conditions and can be installed directly over concrete.
  • Is available in widths that many flooring companies cannot match. (up to 10-inches wide)
  • Perfect for almost every room in the house, including bathrooms, kitchens and dry basements.
  • Combines the stability of a stacked/glued center-core material with the refined beauty of a solid surface layer, indistinguishable to the eye from solid hardwood.

Our engineered flooring is made to 5/8-in. and 11/16-in. thicknesses with a five-millimeter wear layer that will provide decades of use and can be re-sanded or re-finished up to five times. (Most solid hardwood floors can be sanded up to seven times.) Available in smooth surface only, and due to milling restrictions, certain species like our Antique Hit-Skip Oak and circular-sawn boards are not offered as an engineered product. Our engineered flooring is a top quality, long-length product and end-matching is not required for proper installation.
